We’ve arrived at that point in the year when everyone suddenly realizes that summer is half over and they have nothing to show for it. No one is not surprised by the fact that we are at the midpoint of July and soon enough August will be upon us. In Austin, Texas, that means that we’re mentally gearing up to sweat like we’ve never sweat before.

Tito and I went north again last night - in hopes of aurora hunting after sunspot AR 1520 delivered a massive X-class flare directly to earth.

We're getting quite adept at finding these things ;) We got our best shots not 1.5 hours from downtown Toronto - just outside of Barrie, south of Mt. St. Louis Moonstone.

We cursed every time a car or truck passed us on the highway, but to our delight when processing these turned out to be the best shots!

Every time I travel, which has only been domestically, I try to visit a local art museum, gallery or exhibit. Viewing art, not just photography, is one of my favorite pastimes. Luckily I have people in my life that share my love of art as well.  I'd like to take this opportunity to share my favorites with you all. (Disclaimer: I haven't been to New York, therefore the Met isn't on my list yet)

(CAN-AL BEEG-LAY)

At the very end of South America, the sun rises doesn't rise until after nine o clock which means early morning light, not early in the morning. For the early rising challenged like myself, it was wonderful to walk from our room in a cozy bed and breakfast up the hill and down into the city soaking in the morning.

Dear Richard -

Your last post made me reflect on how I am presently living my life Richard.  With all that is going on globally right now in every single facet of life attention often goes to worrying about what the next change will be and how we will adapt, cope, or be effected.

Meanwhile, the moments of our lives are going by at a rather rapid rate unless we consciously slow them down a bit.

How have I missed On Dragonfly Wings with Buttercup Tea's postings "Sunday Trees" until now?  Trees have so much of life and wisdom to share with us. A professor at the University of British Columbia has been doing studies that show how trees communicate with one another.  Have you ever spotted a tree, and though "oh this one is a Guardian"?

Today,

as my thoughts are borne from my heart;

I am calmed from

my soul blessing my misunderstandings,

and returns gratitude through my daily expressions.

In those moments,

as I sense the love of fulfillment in my purpose,

I am reminded -

Another rainbow of possibility

is lighting my way to living my destiny.
